Actual DME Set Point Values for BMW

Known Good Scan Tool Data from BMW

Ever wonder what the data on your scan tool should be? Maybe mass air flow data or VANOS? Even idle control data is sometimes displayed in a format not easily deciphered. 

This technical article defines BMW scan tool data stream desired DME data, as set by BMW. BMW calls this data set point data. This refers to the idea that these sensors (inputs) and controls (outputs) should be within this range when normal. Outside of these ranges can be considered faulty and furhter diagnosis to reach the root cause is  needed.
